Fantasy Baseball Is Life

I like the title of the blog. It says it all.

Is it spring training yet?

I also have Jonathon Herrera and Eugenio Velez in the minors for 2 each and and on the DL for 2.5 each.

The prices I included are what they would be to freeze going into next year. Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions on who I should think about freezing, thanks

Pretty good rotation, a solid 5 SPs with Jimenez, Oswalt, Gallardo, Hanson, and Billingsley.  Wilson has looked decent so far this year, but I have a feeling it could only be a matter of time before he implodes.  Hunter could end up having a nice year.  And I love that you have Wade Davis, I thought for awhile that I was the only one who had faith in him.  He could end up being what Hanson was last year.  Feliz has been a great reliever since he came up, and now it looks like he has adapted to the closer role nicely.  He is a high-K guy that will get you a lot of points, especially with saves earning an extra 2 pts. this year.  With Street back, you should have a nice bullpen to go with the 5 solid starters.  Until then, I would probably throw CJ or Hunter in at RP,  because Morales is nothing special as a closer.  I'm glad they give 3 pts. for a QS this year, but mad they took away the 5 pts. for a shutout.  I think you should also get points for a perfect game and a no hitter.  Hopefully those bats come around, and thanks for joining the group!

Jiminez - thanks for the no-no last night, too bad I don't get extra points for that.
Cj Wilson
Tommy Hunter
Wade Davis

Neftali Feliz
Houston Street - get well soon
Franklin Morales - filling in for Street

Good news? I can use Cj and Tommy as RP's and still get my points.

Bad News? Might need to trade some SP for RP at some point, but it's early. And I'm still waiting for my bats to wake up. But that's another story altogether....

Considering that Anderson, Hudson, and Sheets can all be question marks, I probably would take that deal because having Santana would give you 5 solid starters in Lester, Peavy, Kershaw, Oswalt, and Santana.  Cabrera is slightly better than Votto at 1B, but they do put up virtually the same numbers, and you would only be giving up about 5 or so HRs and maybe a few less RBIs with having Votto instead of Cabrera.  But Santana makes that worthwhile as he, again, gives you 5 solid starters.
